Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers about the SSW visa, our licensing and branches, eligibility, and why we work exclusively with SSW — not TITP.
Company, Branches & Admission
Customer Group Nepal is a training and consultancy provider that prepares Nepali candidates for Japan's SSW (Specified Skilled Worker) visa program — Japanese language training, skills preparation, and visa document support — working alongside its licensed manpower entity, Customer Group HR Pvt. Ltd, for the visa and employer-matching side.
Customer Group Nepal has 4 branches across Nepal: Kathmandu, Chitwan, Pokhara, Butwal. The Kathmandu branch (Samakhusi Jaldhara Marg-03) is the head office and is fully self-owned, with dedicated classrooms and counseling rooms.
Four programs: Basic Course (JFT N5/N4, 1 month) for absolute beginners, Advance Course (JFT N3/N2, 6 months) for workplace-ready Japanese, Skill Course (sector-specific, 2-3 weeks) for trade/industry technical training, and Additional Support (ongoing, throughout the program) covering orientation, interview practice, and scholarship support.
New admission for the Basic Course starts every month at each branch. Since exact intake dates and seat availability vary by branch, contact your nearest branch directly for the current month's admission details and to enroll.
SSW Visa Basics
No. Customer Group Nepal specializes exclusively in the SSW (Specified Skilled Worker) visa program and does not handle TITP placements. SSW and TITP are both visa pathways to work in Japan and are often confused, but they differ in purpose and structure — SSW is a direct employment visa with the same wages and rights as Japanese workers, while TITP is a training-focused program. If you're specifically looking for TITP placement, you'll need a TITP-licensed sending organization.
SSW is a work visa introduced by the Japanese government in 2019 to address labor shortages in 14 designated industries, including caregiving, construction, agriculture, food processing, and restaurant service. Unlike training-focused programs, SSW is a direct employment visa — workers are treated as employees with the same wages and labor rights as Japanese workers in similar roles.
SSW Type 1 lasts up to 5 years total (renewed annually or periodically) and does not allow family members to accompany the worker. SSW Type 2 is renewable with no fixed upper limit, allows a spouse and children to accompany the worker, and currently covers a smaller (expanding) set of sectors. Workers can upgrade from Type 1 to Type 2 after gaining experience and passing a higher-level skills exam.
SSW is a direct employment visa with the same wages as Japanese workers, changing employers is possible, and Type 2 allows family. TITP is training-focused, wages may be lower, changing employers is difficult, and family is not allowed. Customer Group Nepal only processes SSW — see the question above on TITP for why.
Eligibility & Documents
Applicants must be 18 or older, pass a Japanese language test (JFT-Basic or JLPT N4 or higher), pass the Skills Evaluation Test for their chosen industry, pass a medical checkup, and have no criminal record. Workers who have completed TITP can often switch to SSW without retaking the language or skills exams.
A valid passport, Japanese language and skills test certificates, educational certificates, a medical examination report, a police clearance certificate, passport-size photographs, and a signed employment contract.

Yes. Workers who have completed Japan's Technical Intern Training Program (TITP) can usually switch to SSW without retaking the language or skills exams — Customer Group Nepal can support this transition even though we don't process TITP placements ourselves.
Costs, Family & Duration
Costs vary depending on training duration and document processing requirements. Contact Customer Group Nepal directly for accurate, up-to-date pricing — working through a licensed agency helps avoid unnecessary fees and protects against fraud.
